Porch Screening and Repairs

One of the most popular products we sell during this time of year are the porch screenings and repairs. Whether your in need of a full porch rescreen or need a few aluminum panels repaired, we got you covered. With the awesome weather incoming, it’s time to enjoy the Florida winter in your back porch. Having the proper porch screening is important, keeping the bugs out and debris so that you can enjoy your patio room to the fullest. A screened in porch allows homeowners to experience the outdoors without the sun shining in their eyes and bugs biting on their skin. Doing the porch screening job can be very difficult, it is best to have an experienced professional do the job since the screens are real flimsy.

Porch Enclosures

Florida’s climate is very warm and humid, many people may look to get rid of their screened in porch and want to enclose it. Using acrylic sliders, homeowners are able top enclose the porch and transform it into any room that they desire. Examples of rooms that they can make include; home gym, spare room, craft room, home office, etc. There are endless options that allows the homeowner to get creative.

Hurricane Protection

All of our hurricane shutter products are made from .050 grade aluminum which is better than steel because it is lighter, but thicker providing more protection. We carry only the best types of hurricane protection including; accordion shutters, storm panels, colonial shutters, bahama shutters, and roll-up shutters. I will give a brief description of the different types of hurricane shutters that we offer below.

Hurricane Storm Panels

The most popular type of hurricane shutter is the hurricane storm panels. We make the storm panels from .050 grade aluminum which offers maximum protection and is lighter than steel but also thicker. The hurricane storm panels are the most common type of hurricane protection, they usually come with the houses when they are built but sometimes can be measured incorrectly leading you to need to buy the right size. The downside to the storm panels is how time consuming they are to deploy. These types of hurricane protection take around 5-6 hours to deploy. Since you have to put them up and take them down each hurricane season, they are the least convenient option. Storm panels also take up storage space in your garage that you could use for more important things.

Accordion Shutters

The best hurricane protection for your money is the accordion shutters. Accordion shutters deploy using the sliding rail system. This type of hurricane protection is very convenient taking only 15-20 minutes to deploy around your whole property. The difference between storm panels and accordion shutters are that the accordions stay up year round making it way easier to slide and lock shut and then open during the offseason. Most people transition from the traditional storm panels to accordion shutters because they are tired of putting the heavy storm panels up every year. Each accordion shutter comes with a key that you use when you slide the accordions shut, this locks them in place allowing for maximum hurricane protection.

Bahama Shutters

The most aesthetic type of hurricane protection is bahama shutters. Bahama shutters provide the beauty that many homeowners are looking for. Who said hurricane protection has to look ugly. Bahama shutters look like decoration but they actually are helping provide maximum protection from hurricanes. Bahama shutters deploy using a top-hinge design that sits at a 45-degree angle during the offseason and sits parallel with the window during hurricane season. This type of hurricane protection provides privacy, sunshade, hurricane protection, and beauty to your property.

Colonial Shutters

Colonial shutters are similar to bahamas in that they provide beauty to your property as well as hurricane protection. Colonial shutters deploy differently, they close shut like a book and provide a different type of design. Colonial shutters take little effort and take seconds to deploy, so in case of an emergency, you will be able to protect yourself quickly.

Roll-Up Shutters

The most convenient type of hurricane shutter that we sell and service is the roll-up shutters. The roll-up shutters are top-tier in hurricane protection providing maximum protection with the touch of a button. Roll-up shutters powered by an electric motor deploying up to four windows at a time with the touch of a button on a wireless remote. You can deploy these shutters from either the comfort of inside your home or outside. The wireless technology makes this very easy for you. The roll-ups are the most expensive type of hurricane shutter, but they provide the easiest use because of the wireless technology as well as maximum protection.
