Security Shutters Holiday Special

Here at Johnson Aluminum Products, we are running a holiday sale on our security shutters. Security shutters are very important for homeowners and business owners because it keeps vandalism and theft out. Not only do the shutters provide home security, but it also provides hurricane protection giving you the best of both worlds. There are two different types of security shutters that we carry here; accordion security shutters and rolling security shutters. In this blog post, I will provide some general information on both types of security shutters to help you make a more informed decision.

Accordion Security Shutters

The first type of security shutters is the accordion security shutters. Accordion security shutters are cheaper than the rolling security shutter and provide maximum protection from vandalism, theft, and hurricanes. This type of security shutter operates using a sliding rail system that pulls them open and close. Each accordion shutter comes with a key and lock that locks them together to ensure maximum protection. Accordion security shutters may be the better option for those more on a budget, but it does require more work than the rolling shutters to deploy. These security shutters only take a few minutes to deploy, making them much easier than steel storm panels. These shutters are made from .050 aluminum which provides maximum protection and is thicker than steel panels.

Rolling Security Shutters

Rolling security shutters are way more convenient because they are powered by an electric motor and controlled by a wireless remote or wall switch (depending on which you want). Since these security shutters are more convenient than accordions, they are also more expensive. You can deploy the rolling security shutters from the comfort of your own home, whether your inside or outside. The best part about the rolling shutters is that the wireless remote can deploy up to four windows at a time making it great for emergencies. Here at Johnson Aluminum Products, we get our rolling security shutters from Nautilus. Nautilus shutters undergo rigorous testing and fatigue tests to ensure your shutters are dependable and strong. The rolling shutters undergo a large missile impact test and a 20,000 cycle fatigue test. In case of a power outage, there is a manual hand crank override option that you can use to deploy the shutters. The rolling security shutters are available in four different colors; white, ivory, bronze, and beige. This unique patented design is in a class of its own.
