Accordion Shutters
Our accordion shutters are made here at the facility and are the number one bestseller for hurricane protection. The accordion shutters are made up of .050 aluminum offering maximum protection. Accordion shutters move on a railing system and lock together with a set of keys that we give you. The shutters will take about 15 minutes to deploy depending on how many you have around your house. The pros of buying accordion shutters are that they are easy to deploy, offer maximum protection, and are one of the cheapest shutters we carry.
Bahama Shutters
A very aesthetic shutter we offer is the Bahama shutter which provides beauty to your home while providing hurricane protection giving you the best of both worlds. Bahama shutters operate using a top-hinge design making it very easy to deploy for when a hurricane comes. Not only does the Bahama shutter offer great hurricane protection, it can also be used for sunshade, privacy, and even save you some money on the electric bill by keeping the home cooler. Living in Florida this shutter can be a great investment.
Colonial Shutters
Another aesthetically looking shutter is the colonial shutter. The colonial shutter is different from the Bahamas because they close like a book and lock together when deployed. Colonial shutters are flexible giving you the option to keep them open during the offseason and shut them during hurricane season. They provide maximum protection and can be used for privacy and sunshade as well.
Roll-Up Shutters
By far the most convenient type of hurricane shutters are the roll-up shutters. The roll-up shutters operate with the touch of a button. This is the most expensive option because of the convenience. The hurricane shutter is electrically motorized and can deploy up to four shutters at once using the wireless remote. You can operate them from either inside or outside your house which makes it very easy.
Hurricane Storm Panels
The cheapest option we have is the traditional hurricane storm panels. These storm panels are made from aluminum so they are lighter, however, aluminum provides higher protection than steel ones. Steel hurricane storm panels are very heavy and a pain in the rear end to deploy taking multiple hours to protect your house. Purchasing aluminum storm panels will make it easier because they are much lighter. If you are in the market for storm panels, I suggest also taking a look at accordion shutters because they are slightly more expensive but are way easier to deploy taking minutes compared to hours. When hurricanes come in, this gives you time to prepare elsewhere like getting nonperishable foods and testing out your generators.
